This course will make candidates more aware of the appointed person s responsibilities and how best to fulfil them. It is aimed at anyone who is required to plan safe systems of work using lifting equipment. Prior to attending this course it is recommended that individuals should have some experience of working with lifting equipment especially mobile cranes.
This course will enable the candidate to undertake duties of a crane supervisor as defined by the appointed person complying with legislation regulations Codes of Practice and industrial requirements. By the end of the course delegates will have the knowledge to be able to design safe lifting plans that are compliant with the law and take into account all health and safety requirements on site
This course will give candidates foundation training and assessment towards a Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) Red Trained Operator card and includes Quick-Hitch training and a National Construction College certificate.
