This course will give candidates foundation training and assessment towards a Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) Red Trained Operator card. This course is designed to provide candidates with thorough practical and theory training in being a Slinger/Signaller Delegates must have a basic understanding and knowledge of current Health & Safety issues. Health & Safety tests must be current and in date. (Completed within the last 24 months)

The Slinger Signaller CPCS A40 or NPORS N402 training course begins with an introduction to the role and responsibilities of a Slinger Signaller. This includes an overview of the relevant health and safety regulations and the importance of personal protective equipment. The next section focuses on understanding and interpreting lifting plans and risk assessments. Trainees will learn how to effectively communicate with the crane operator using standard signalling methods. They will also learn the importance of pre-use checks and inspections of lifting accessories. Following this, the course delves into practical skills training. This includes directing the movement of loads, choosing and inspecting appropriate lifting accessories, and establishing the weight and dimensions of loads. The course concludes with an assessment of both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
Available as an open course at over 50 venues nationwide or as a private / inhouse course on client premises.
Upon successful completion of the Slinger Signaller CPCS A40 or NPORS N402 (Slinger Signaller) training course, candidates will be awarded a certificate of achievement.
