Course Information

This course will give candidates foundation training and assessment towards a Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) Red Trained Operator card. This course is designed to provide candidates with thorough practical and theory training in being a Slinger/Signaller Delegates must have a basic understanding and knowledge of current Health & Safety issues. Health & Safety tests must be current and in date. (Completed within the last 24 months)

Course Agenda

The Slinger Signaller CPCS A40 or NPORS N402 training course starts with an introduction to the role and responsibilities of a Slinger Signaller, including safety regulations and personal protective equipment. Trainees will then learn how to interpret lifting plans and conduct risk assessments. Standard signalling methods and pre-use checks of lifting accessories will also be covered.

The course then moves on to practical skills training, where trainees will learn how to direct the movement of loads, select and inspect lifting accessories, and determine the weight and dimensions of loads. Emphasis will be placed on proper communication with the crane operator.

The final part of the course is an assessment of both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. This ensures that trainees have a thorough understanding of the course material and are able to apply it in a real-world setting. Merge onto the M5 towards The Midlands, and take the M42 exit towards Solihull. Continue onto the M1 and take the A38 exit towards Mansfield. At the Pinxton Interchange, take the 4th exit onto Alfreton Rd/A38, then right onto Sutton Rd/B6018. After a left onto Wentworth Rd, follow the roundabout exits onto Lindrick Rd. Go through one roundabout, turn left onto Southwell Ln, and finally left onto Summit Cl. The Training Centre will be on your right. Enjoy your time with us! Refreshments will be provided, and theres an onsite canteen for lunch. If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know in advance.
