The Overhead Crane training course covers essential topics such as the HASWA 1974 and Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998. It also includes the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998, as well as identifying and addressing defects on lifting equipment.

Participants will learn advanced lifting procedures and the safe use of D Shackles and Eye bolts. This includes understanding safe working loads for the crane and lifting gear. The course will also cover proper slinging and lifting techniques, including how to use slings and equipment at different angles.

The training course will also cover important practical skills, such as performing pre-use checks on the crane and lifting gear. Participants will also learn about the role of a banksman and the hand signals used to communicate with the crane operator. The course will also go over the operators safety code to ensure safe and efficient crane operations.

Finally, the course will include practical assessments to test participants knowledge and skills. This will include an introduction to the crane, pre-use checks, crane operations, and basic slinging techniques.
