Course Information

To ensure all personnel involved in rigging and slinging operations e.g. riggers, maintenance personnel, maintenance supervisors, deck crew, etc. have an understanding of the legal requirements pertaining to rigging operations, the requirements for pre-use inspection and discard criteria of lifting equipment, the safe working procedures for rigging and to ensure delegates can use lifting equipment safely and not exceed the load limit imposed on them. This course is for onshore work only....

Registration Time: 08:15am for 08.30am Start. Please note our office does not open until 8am. Duration: 2 Days. Equipment Required: Hard Hat, Safety Footwear Gloves and Coveralls. Lunch: Provided by Evolve unless at a customer premises. Please advise of any dietary requirements 24hrs in advance. Extra Information: Delegates should be aware that this course contains a large element of practical work using live equipment. If any delegates have special requirements e.g. wheelchair access, reading or writing difficulty, please let us know in order for us to provide an appropriate classroom or arrange assistance for written exercises. Course Agenda

A Rigging and Lifting training course is designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to safely and effectively perform rigging and lifting tasks in a variety of industries. The course typically begins with an overview of relevant legislation and regulations, including the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations. Participants will also learn about the different types of lifting equipment and their uses.

The course then moves on to cover risk assessment and hazard identification, as well as safe working practices and procedures. This includes understanding load limits, sling angles, and the use of taglines. Participants will also learn about the importance of communication and teamwork when it comes to rigging and lifting operations.

Practical training is a key component of a Rigging and Lifting course, allowing participants to put their theoretical knowledge into practice. This may include tasks such as planning and executing a lift, conducting pre-use inspections of equipment, and using different types of slings and lifting accessories. Participants will also learn about the proper use of hand signals and radio communication during lifting operations.

Accreditation

Upon successful completion of the Rigging and Lifting training course, candidates will receive a temporary certificate of attendance from Xyz Training Group. This certificate serves as proof that the candidate has completed the course and has gained the necessary knowledge and skills in rigging and lifting techniques.

In addition, candidates who are members of the National Training Card will have their accreditation automatically added to their account. This means that they will have a record of their achievement and can easily access it for future reference.
