We are in the COOMBER WAY INDUSTRIAL ESTATE which is located directly between 777 Recycling & Mitcham Builders Merchants. The entrance is opposite a big white signboard that says ‘TROPIC’ and can be found near the roundabout end of Coomber Way that leads onto Beddington Lane., , , , , Parking, , , , , We do offer limited parking spaces which is on a first-come-first-served basis. There is free street parking available on Coomber Way which we can’t guarantee what and where will be available on the morning of the course., , , , , Public Transport Advice, , , , , • Travelling to East Croydon Train Station, , , , , Once you arrive at East Croydon – you want to get on the Wimbledon Tram and get off at Beddington Lane for a 7-minute walk to our Training Centre., , , , , • Travelling by West Croydon Train Station, , , , , Once you arrive at West Croydon – you want to get on the 455 Bus and get off at Coomber Way / Beddington Lane (Stop J)., , , , , Please plan your journey in advance. The information here is only advice and we will not be held responsible if you are late and miss the start time., , , , , There is a strict time policy in place, and we cannot guarantee entry after the start time. The training room will be open 30 minutes prior to the start time, and we would advise arriving earlier to avoid disappointment. Where we appreciate you may incur transport problems on the day, we would again advise to travel earlier as we will not be held responsible for operatives arriving after the start time. Those who miss the start time will be refused entry and will be charged to return., , , , , PPE for this course is mandatory. You will be required to bring with you a Hard Hat, Hi Vis Clothing (vest, t-shirt or jacket are accepted) and suitable footwear. If you have purchased a PPE Pack with your order, then this will be given to you when you arrive., , , , , Refreshments provided are limited to Tea & Coffee. Operatives are welcome to bring snacks and lunch with them however there are local shops and cafes should they wish to use them.
Course Agenda
The PASMA Combined Tower and Low Level Access training course covers all the necessary aspects of working at heights, as required by current legislation, regulations, and guidance. This includes the PASMA Code of Practice and PAS250, which is the publicly available specification for mobile access towers. Participants will learn how to assemble, alter, and dismantle both low level access units and standard mobile access towers.
One of the key focuses of this training course is on current best practices for fall protection. This is essential for ensuring the safety of workers who are using towers and platforms at heights. Participants will also learn how to properly inspect both low level and standard mobile access towers, and how to keep accurate tower inspection records.
The course also covers potential hazards that may affect the use of units and platforms at heights. This includes identifying and mitigating risks such as uneven ground, inclement weather, and electrical hazards. Participants will learn how to safely navigate these hazards and ensure a secure working environment for themselves and their colleagues.
In addition to the above, the course may also cover topics such as emergency procedures, rescue planning, and safe working practices. By the end of the training, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of how to safely and effectively work at heights using both low level access units and standard mobile access towers. This will not only ensure their own safety, but also help them to comply with legal requirements and industry best practices..

Welcome to The Training Centre in Croydon! To reach us, exit the M23 at Junction 7 and follow the A23 towards Croydon. Stay on the A23 until you hit Purley Way, then take a left. Your first left will lead you onto Coomber Way, where youll find us. Please remember, if youre attending the PASMA Towers on Stairs or PASMA Towers with Cantilevers courses, a valid PASMA TOWERS FOR USERS qualification is essential. Accreditation
