Course Information

First aid cover is a legal requirement for all workplaces. The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work qualification gives learners the skills and confidence to deal with common workplace incidents until professional medical help arrives....

Joining Instructions

Delegates should arrive 15 minutes prior to start of course, a Permit is required for the car park which you will receive on the day of the course from our trainer, We need to be aware of any dietary requirements prior to course start date.

Course Agenda

 The Role of First Aider  Personal Safety, assessing the incident;  Dealing with an unconscious casualty (including seizure);  Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation;  Defibrillation protocols (theory) ILCOR 2010  Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation; AED descriptions and usage  Choking;  Dealing with blood loss and the treatment of Shock;  Burns & scalds;  Recognition and management of fractures, inc. spinal injuries;  Amputations, head & crush injuries;  Chest injuries;  Eye injuries;  Sudden poisoning & Anaphylactic shock;  Minor injuries; small cuts, grazes, bruisers, splinters.  Major illness; heart attack. strokes, epilepsy, diabetes, & asthma.

Welcome to The Training Centre in Doncaster! Were excited to have you join us for your upcoming course. Getting here is straightforward from the A1M Doncaster, head south and take the M18 exit towards Sheffield/Scunthorpe/M180. Merge onto the M18, then take the A6182 exit towards Doncaster/Robin Hood Airport. At St Catherines Interchange, take the 3rd exit onto Great Yorkshire Way/A6182. Continue straight, then turn right onto Hayfield Lane and right again onto First Avenue. Youll find The Training Centre on your right. Were pleased to offer wheelchair access, including a ramp, designated parking, and a disabled access toilet. Plus, enjoy refreshments and a buffet lunch during your full-day courses. If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know at least 7 days before your course starts. We look forward to welcoming you!.
