Who Should Attend?

Our emergency first aid at work training is aimed at those organisations where a first aid needs assessment indicates a lower risk environment or where a course is needed to compliment other first aid provision.

Joining Instructions

Owing to the practical nature of this course a basic level of general fitness is required. Delegates must be physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline. Should you have any questions relating to the accessibility of this course please dont hesitate to get in touch.

Course Agenda

Our course programme employs a variety of teaching techniques to meet the needs of individual delegates and includes the following:Understanding the role of a first aiderContents of a first aid kitRecord keepingThe unconscious casualtyCardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the safe use of a defibrillatorManagement of a choking casualtyExternal bleeding and shockCatastrophic bleeding and the use of tourniquets and haemostatic dressingsProviding appropriate first aid for minor injuries, including small cuts, grazes, bruises, minor burns, scalds and splinters.

Welcome to The Training Centre in Bitton! Getting here is a breeze. If youre coming from the A4174 in Bristol, simply head east on Callington Road. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto W Town Lane. A quick right onto Bath Road will have you continuing straight until you reach Kingsfield Roundabouttake the second exit onto A4174. Accreditation

The Emergency First Aid at Work EFAW training course is accredited and recognized by the Health and Safety Executive HSE in the UK. Successful candidates will receive a certificate that is valid for 3 years.
