This course will enable the candidate to undertake duties of a crane supervisor as defined by the appointed person complying with legislation regulations Codes of Practice and industrial requirements. By the end of the course delegates will have the knowledge to be able to design safe lifting plans that are compliant with the law and take into account all health and safety requirements on site

Who Should Attend?

Supervisors and managers with responsibility for supervising lifting operations who have sufficient experience of the use of cranes to meet the requirements specified in British Standard 7121 Safe Use of Cranes. This course is aimed at people that already have site experience working as a slinger / signaller and want to progress onto the next level.

Welcome to the Podington Training Centre! Located in the charming town of Podington, our centre is easily accessible via the A509 from Wellingborough. Simply head southwest on Niort Way and take the 2nd exit onto Park Farm Way at the roundabout. From there, continue straight until you reach Wilby Way Roundabout and take the 2nd exit onto Higham Rd. Then, follow the A509 ramp to Wellingboro/M. Keynes and take the 2nd exit at Little Irchester Jct onto Turnells Mill Ln. After the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto London Rd and continue on Gipsy Ln and Wollaston Rd. Finally, turn left onto Irchester Rd and then left onto Hinwick Rd. Accreditation

Candidates who successfully complete the Crane Supervisor Lifting Operations CPCS A62 or NPORS N405 training course will receive a Red CPCS Crane Supervisor card, which is valid for 2 years. This card serves as proof of their competence in crane supervision and lifting operations.

In order to maintain their accreditation, candidates must complete an NVQ within the 2-year period. Upon completion of the NVQ, they will be eligible to receive a Blue CPCS card, which is valid for 5 years. This demonstrates their continued competence and commitment to the industry.
