Course Information

This course is for people with limited or no experience who want to learn how to operate a telescopic handler. Successful delegates gain the CPCS trained operator card (red card) on passing the CPCS technical tests at the end. Experienced telehandler operators who need a formal qualification can do a condensed 3 day course.

Who Should Attend?

Any person be that construction or agricultural based who needs full training or formal training in the safe use and operation of a telescopic handler.

Joining Instructions

Candidates must supply their own PPE. If you have any questions in relation to PPE requirements please contact a member of the team.  We have a strict no alcohol/drugs policy, anyone thought to be under the influence may be turned away from their respective course.  Any candidate in attendance should have a good understanding of English. Interpreters may be available upon request, if required please let us know with as much notice as possible.  All candidates must adhere so government guidelines in relation to COVID-19 and follow our relevant site safety rules at all times. Candidates will need to have achieved a relevant CITB HS&E test within 2 years. Course Agenda

The Telehandler CPCS A17 or NPORS N010 training course begins with a comprehensive introduction to the equipment, its purpose, and its uses. This includes an overview of the types of telehandlers, their components and controls, and the potential risks and safety precautions when operating them. The course then moves on to the practical aspects of operating a telehandler. This includes hands-on training in manoeuvring the equipment, loading and unloading, and safe handling techniques. Participants will also learn how to perform daily checks and basic maintenance on the machine to ensure its optimal performance and longevity. The course concludes with a rigorous assessment of the participant's knowledge and skills. This includes a written test on the theoretical aspects, as well as a practical demonstration of their ability to operate a telehandler safely and effectively..

Accreditation

Upon successful completion and passing of the Telehandler CPCS A17 or NPORS N010 (Telehandler) training course, candidates will receive an industry-recognised certification. This certification is either a CPCS Red Trained Operator Card (for CPCS A17) or an NPORS Operator Card (for NPORS N010).
