An Introduction to the Construction Industry Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations Other current relevant regulations Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 Introduction to the machine Pre shift inspections Controls and instruments Use of the loader to load and unload the bed of the lorry Components and main types of lorry loaders. Machine controls and instruments Set up for lifting operations Basic operations (raising lowering slewing) Preparing and securing for travel Lifting and placing loads at various levels Selection and use of attachments Load weight assessment The principles of safe operation.

Training Venue

Specific venue information; which includes the full address, directions to the venue, public transport links, parking, refreshments, nearby hotels and whether or not food is provided will be supplied to confirmed bookings prior to the start of the course. CPCS A36 Lorry Loader (Foundation) training is also available at training centres UK wide and on client premises (as required) provided minimum delegate numbers are achieved.

Accreditation

Candidates will undergo a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical training during the Lorry Loader course.
