Course Agenda

This Loading Shovel Skid Steer training course covers all relevant regulations, including the Construction Industry Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 and the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998. It also includes an overview of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Participants will learn about the machines pre-shift inspections, as well as the coolant, fuel, and lubrication systems. The course will cover the controls and instruments of the loading shovel, as well as how to create a stockpile with excavated material.

Excavating from a bank or stockpile will also be covered, along with the proper use of the 4 in 1 bucket. Participants will also learn how to safely load vehicles and reduce the level of excavations to line and level.

We pride ourselves on providing a comfortable and professional learning environment for all our candidates. Please note that work boots are not allowed in the classrooms or tea room, so we recommend bringing an alternative pair of shoes. Parking is available at the front of the building and we kindly ask all visitors to sign in at the reception area. Our offices are open from website to website pm, Monday to Friday. We offer complimentary tea and coffee for refreshments. For directions, simply head north on Brighton Road from A23 Redhill and take the third exit onto Station Road.
