Course Agenda

This Loading Shovel Skid Steer training course covers all relevant regulations, including the Construction Industry Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 and the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998. It also includes an overview of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Participants will learn about the machines pre-shift inspections, as well as the coolant, fuel, and lubrication systems. The course will cover the controls and instruments of the loading shovel, as well as how to create a stockpile with excavated material.

Excavating from a bank or stockpile will also be covered, along with the proper use of the 4 in 1 bucket. Participants will also learn how to safely load vehicles and reduce the level of excavations to line and level.
