Registration Time: 08:15am for 08.30am Start. Please note our office does not open until 8am. Duration: 1 Day. Equipment Required: Hard Hat, Safety Footwear Gloves and Coveralls. Lunch: Provided by Evolve unless at a customers premises. Please advise of any dietary requirements 24hrs in advance. Extra Information: Delegates should be aware that this course contains a large element of practical work using live equipment. If any delegates have special requirements e.g. wheelchair access, reading or writing difficulty, please let us know in order for us to provide an appropriate classroom or arrange assistance for written exercises. Course Agenda

A Slinger Signaller training course is designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to safely and efficiently operate a crane or hoist as a slinger or signaller. The course typically begins with an introduction to the role of a slinger signaller and the importance of their role in ensuring safety on a construction site. This is followed by a thorough explanation of the different types of cranes and hoists, their capabilities, and their limitations.

The next part of the course focuses on the responsibilities and duties of a slinger signaller, including how to plan and prepare for a lift, how to communicate effectively with the crane operator, and how to safely attach and detach loads. Participants will also learn about the different types of slinging techniques and when to use them, as well as how to calculate load weights and centre of gravity.

In addition to theoretical knowledge, the course also includes practical training where participants will have the opportunity to apply what they have learned in a simulated work environment. This includes conducting pre-use checks on equipment, performing lifts using different types of slinging techniques, and communicating with a crane operator using hand signals and radio communication. Participants will also learn about emergency procedures and how to handle unexpected situations.

At the end of the course, participants will be assessed through a written test and a practical demonstration of their skills. Upon successful completion, they will receive a certificate of competence, which is valid for three years. Upon successful completion of the Slinger Signaller training course, candidates will receive a certificate of attendance from Xyz Training Group.
