Course Information

The Vehicle and Lorry Marshalling programme is designed for those responsible for supervising the movement of vehicles and pedestrians safely on and around a site. The aim of this course is to provide delegates with a thorough understanding of the hazards caused by moving vehicles on a site and how to provide and maintain safe access routes for both pedestrians and vehicles through the implementation of the correct control measures in order to reduce risks to their safety. Otherwise known as Banksman training.

This programme is designed for those personnel responsible for supervising the movement of vehicles and pedestrians safely on a construction site or in an area frequently used by vehicles and lorrys.

When booking any courses with us, Joining instructions will be sent providing the course title, dates, location, delegates names, and schedule.All delegates must have a valid HSE within 2 years in order to complete any CPCS course.

Course Agenda

Day 1- Theory Training; Day 2- Practical Training; Day 3- Theory and Practical Testing.

Training starts at 08:00am and finishes at approximately 16:00pm.

To reach us, start from the A329M in Reading, heading west. Keep right to stay on the A329M and take the exit towards Wharfedale Rd. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Wharfedale Rd, then a slight left towards A3290. Continue onto A3290, then take another slight left towards Showcase Roundabout. Turn left onto Reading Rd/A329 and continue straight. At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Old Forest Rd, then a slight right onto Toutley Rd. Keep going straight onto Queens Rd, and at the next roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Twyford Rd/A321. Accreditation

The testing consists if a theory and a practical test. Theory and practical must be passed in order to achieve the A73 category. Please note that if you do not pass the CPCS Theory Test then you are not permitted to attempt the CPCS Practical Test. Additional fees apply if re tests are required. A73 CPCS Plant & Vehicle Marshaller Red (2 year) card. Candidates must achieve their NVQ within the 2 years to earn their Blue CPCS 5 year card..

On the last day of the course, candidates will be theory tested, this is a verbal test, one on one with the tester and it will be recorded. Once they have achieved this, they will then be practical tested, outside on the machine.. If the candidate does not reach the required marks, then they will not achieve the tests and will need re-scheduling.
